Festive Scones
Serves 6.

Cooking and preparation time: 45 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 Large egg 
- 454g Self-raising flour 
- 250ml Milk 
- 120g Cranberries 
- 114g Butter 
- 57g Castor sugar 
- 50g Milk chocolate 
- 1/2 Large orange 
- 3 Tsp. Orange zest 
- 3 Tsp. Mixed cake spice 
- 1 Tsp. Baking powder 
Method:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, mixed spice and baking powder. Rub the butter into our mix until combined and forming the consistency of breadcrumbs. 
- Mix in sugar, cranberries, chocolate drops and blitzed orange zest. Lightly dust your countertop with flour. 
- Remove the dry mix from the mixing bowl and make a well in the centre. Crack in the eggs and gently fold in the our mix until combined. 
- Gradually add enough milk to form a firm dough. Sprinkle countertop with our once again. Rolling out your dough until the desired thickness is reached. 
- Cut into your desired scone shape. Brush the top with egg wash and a sprinkle of sugar. 
- Bake in a preheated oven at 1700C for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven and leave to rest until cooled. 
- Serve with whipped cream and jam, and enjoy!
