Warm Apple Crumble with Custard

Serves 4 // Easy / Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

400g apple (roughly four medium sized apples), cut into cubes

200g plain flour

400g butter

50g caster sugar

2 tbsp cinnamon

55g custard powder

400ml milk

Method:

  1. Using your fingers or a fork rub the flour, 10g sugar, and butter in a bowl until crumbs form.

  2. Add the cinnamon to the cubed apples and stir. Spoon the apples into individual ramekins and cover with the crumb mix.

  3. Place in the oven at 180C degrees for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

  4. For the custard, bring the milk to a boil and add the custard powder and the remaining sugar.

  5. Lower the heat, and whisk the mixture until smooth ~5 minutes

  6. Serve the warm apple crumble and drizzle the custard on top.
